Objectives: This award is designed to recognize and honour State Governments and other sub-national governments that have demonstrated pro-activeness and commitment to improving power supply within their states, particularly rural electrification, through innovative policies, electrification projects, tailored legislations and strategic institutions.
Eligibility:
- Nominee must demonstrate the implementation of policies, initiatives, projects and legislation, designed to improve power supply within their states or increase energy access to under served and undeserved communities within the state.
- The Nominee must demonstrate commitment to rural electrification with verifiable projects implemented and executed by the Nominee or directly as a result of these policies, legislation and initiative
- Nominees must demonstrate specific impact/outcomes of these policies, legislation, projects, initiatives on power supply in their states
